"Two out of three Watsonville men were brutally attacked by suspected gang members outside of Cabrillo Liquors in Aptos, Friday Aug. 29, just 7 minutes away, 2.8 miles down the street from Cabrillo College."
Eh... sounds like it needs work, maybe some different wording and stuff, but not too bad if I do say so myself.
I've seen from googling the facts, the only paper with an actual story on it is the Watsonville Pajaronian and a couple other ones, but nothing big, which make sense seeing how the guys were from Watsonville. I can see this working in the Voice because it happened just down the street and in town.
*~*To Do list*~*
-Interview C. Liquors owner
-Question neighbors to C. Liquors
-Call official officer on case (not much there, but it can't hurt, plus they'll probably pity me because of me being a student)
-Talk to the hospital and see if they can share any information about the guys and how they're doing.
-Ask a few students/teacher about how they feel about it, get the opinion of Cabrillo as a whole.
-Research other gang attacks in area
-Gather up facts together and form draft.

The lead looks good! I wish I could write one that well....instead of like a headline...haha.
Anyway, working on the website is...confusing.
The address to log on to the site is:
www.cabrillovoice.org/admin
The e-mail you use is the one that you provided in class for us to get a hold of you, and the password is cabrillovoice. I don't know if you should log on just yet, there isn't really a lot for editors and reporters to do at this moment. We're still trying to get logistics and layout setup down and stuff...it's kind of difficult. I think that we'll be able to help everyone with it if we get together in class sometime. Until then, I'd say just hold on for a bit.
Hopefully we'll figure everything out in the very very near future so that people can start sending me stories and things to post on the site! Looks like you're getting a head start! :D
Sounds good. I like the lead and getting started on the story definitely couldn't hurt us any.
